The season two opener at Daytona kicked off with an absolute banger of a race where we saw 24 lead changes, 4 cautions for 12 laps and a finish for the ages.
Orry Perce led the field to the white flag and battled the entire field to turn four where Eric Wolfe and the #51 Toyota slung around him for the victory at a VERY close 0.049 second margin of victory.
The surprise of the race was the return of the #5 Toyota driven by Blake Thomas. Blake went on to lead 15 of the 75 laps after the restart and finished 4th overall. Sadly due to a pit issue in the later stages, he found himself out of the fight for the win.
Eric Wolfe was able to pull out a win for the first time ever at Daytona in his racing career. He lead 42 laps total and was able to secure 50 points to start off the season how he ended it, on the top of the standings.
Can Orry Perce head into California and grab a win? Will Blake Thomas break out and take a shot for the Jumpboost Racing League crown? Find out this Friday night when the JRL Gen 6 League heads to the Auto Club Speedway.
