This week the Xfinity Series took the track at Fontana’s own, Auto Club Speedway. We saw absolute domination from the #01 Chevy of Brian Coffman who went on to lead 60 of 75 laps. The race itself only saw two cautions, the first being lap 21 where our eventual race winner got into the #46 of Patrick Ganczewski as he was passing the blue cone to enter the track after the first set of green flag pit stops.

This caution lead to extreme confusion as the leader was coming down to pit during this time for our race control team and the JDJ Team found themselves in a bit of hot water with their pit strategy at this time as the #8 of Joe Tardif and #39 of Domenic Previte continued to pit as the race control team sorted out the gridding. As reported by the head of RC Team, no penalties were handed out to the team or drivers at this point and we will continue to make sure the playing field is level and fair for all of our drivers and teams moving forward.
The race continued on past the halfway point with a late race caution coming out after our last set of green flag stops. The #001 of David Moolman found his car a bit loose coming out of turn four after taking tires during his stop. The loss of control caused him to hook the #21 of Ian Ogden and sending him flying nose first into the wall. Moolman, was not left unscathed as after hitting the #21 Toyota, he slid nose first into the entrance of pit road and hit the safety barrier straight on, extremely hard. Both drivers ended up making it to pit road under powered and were able to use a fast repair to finish out the race.

The race went on to be completed with Brian Coffman finishing off an extremely strong showing with a +1.436 margin of victory over Domenic Previte, Joe Tardif, Todd Danbury and Barney Sigman rounding out the top 5.
David Moolman holds onto his points lead leaving Auto Club by only 2 points with Ian Ogden, Todd Danbury, Barney Sigman and Eric Wolfe within 10 points of the Championship lead.
