The Gen 6 NASCAR Cup Cars went for a wild ride at the end of the race in Atlanta on March 4th, 2022! Patrick Ganczewski, who led 38 total laps in the 162 lap race, found himself in second place after a hard fought final ten laps.

Ganczewski has been in this spot before. He found himself in his #46 GERE Network Toyota leading the field into the final lap and white flag with Eric Wolfe right behind him. Unlike the Auto Club race, Ganczewski was able to hold Wolfe off through turns 1 and 2 as well as down the backstretch into turns 3 and 4. But coming into the tri-oval heading to the checkered flag, Ganczewski found himself well above his racing line that he was running those final 10 laps.

This spelled absolute danger for Ganczewski and his first win in the Jumpboost Racing League. As the cars made their way into the tri-oval, the #46 and #51 slammed doors, lifting the front passenger side of Eric Wolfe’s Rowdy Toyota into the air and sending both cars spinning after that.

Ganczewski found himself spinning on the asphalt as Wolfe scrambled to regain control through the infield. And then it happened. Wolfe crossed the line 0.370 seconds ahead of the #46 GERE Network Toyota. As Wolfe made his way around the track for his post race victory lap, Ganczewski made his way to the pits and garage area. After watching back the last lap footage, he saw the fault in his final attempt to win the race here at Atlanta and said to his crew chief that he will not be making that same mistake again.

With that being said, are we going to see a much more calculated #46 Team moving forwards? To find out more on this developing story, follow us on our social media @JumpboostRacing on Instagram and Twitter!
