The Jumpboost Racing League rolled into Lebanon, Tennessee for the 1.33 mile Superspeedway. Garrett Hummel was the man to beat from the beginning of the race with his second pole of the year. Hummel put down a hot lap of 30.090 beating out Justin Potts and Domenic Previte.
Stage one was an absolute statement being made by Domenic Previte as he went on to lead 10 of the first 15 laps. An incident on track involving points leader Harley Barletta would bring out our first caution on lap 2.
Hummel would charge back and take the lead from Domenic Previte on lap 12 and go on to win stage one.
Stage two would start with Domenic Previte leading the field to the green flag. Eric Wolfe would slide into the lead shortly after on lap 19 but would be unable to hold off the hard charging Hummel who would go on to recover the lead from Wolfe on lap 21.
Lap 22 would be our second caution of the day when the Mychael Miller #01 Chevy Silverado made contact with Joshua Thornton on the exit of turn two. This incident would not end Thornton’s day but the damage would cause the #29 Silverado to be running with aero damage the rest of the race. Stage two would end with Harley Barletta capturing the win.
Stage three started off with Barletta giving up the lead to Garrett Hummel who would go on to lead the race until lap 58 when the green flag pit cycles started for the long final stage. Paul Junior would then take over the lead until lap 62.
The green flag pit cycles proved to be a challenge for the #38 of Justin Potts and Mychael Miller as they both received speeding penalties on lap 60.
As the green flag pit cycle closed, Harley Barletta found himself in the lead after passing the #23 of Joe Tardiff. The lead would be short lived as Hummel charged past and would put a three second gap on the field in a dominating fashion to win the race and clinch a spot in the playoffs. With the season winding down in rapid fashion every race counts and Hummel seized the opportunity to lock himself in.
